Kattankudy · Eastern Sri Lanka
المزيد لاكتشافه
Three everyday corners of the town, from palm-lined streets to evening food and family fun by the lagoon.
The town's signature streetscape
Drive into Kattankudy and the first thing many visitors notice is the rows of date palms lining the main roads, an unusual and striking sight in Sri Lanka that gives the town an instantly recognisable character.
The palms lend the streets an atmosphere unlike anywhere else on the island, and have become one of Kattankudy's most photographed landmarks.

Where the evenings come alive
As the sun sets, Kattankudy's food court fills with the aromas of local Muslim cuisine, a flavourful blend of Middle Eastern influence and Sri Lankan spice that you won't find quite the same anywhere else.
It is an easy, affordable, and lively spot to eat, drink, and soak up the town's evening street-food culture with family or friends.

Family time by the water
On Lake Drive, beside the calm waters of the lagoon, the Lagoon Children Park is a family recreation area made for younger visitors and easy afternoons outdoors.
With the lagoon as a gentle backdrop, it is a relaxed place for children to play while families unwind nearby.
